NFTA celebrated its 50 anniversary - 50 years of serving Western New York's transportation needs.

As part of an authority-wide recognition for its dedicated and 1,500 hard-working employees, Executive Director Kim Minkel and members of her leadership team visited each business location which includes NFIA and BNIA properties, Metro bus and rail stations and garages, TAPD units as well as the main NFTA headquarters and operations control center.

All celebrations were held between Nov. 2-9 and included unique "retro" designed cupcakes by Wegmans markets.  Each  employee also received a special commemorative 50th annivesary pin and small keepsake.

Even the TAPD K-9 unit received special recognition for their hard work with delicious  dog treats compliments of Notorious Dog in Amherst.

A lot of fun was had by all, and we are looking forward to another successful 50 years ahead!
