NFTA hosted a trackbed training for a group of 15 visually impaired children on August 23, 2017.

The two hour training which was conducted by staff members from the HSEQ division addressed various Metro rail system safety precautions including movement within stations and on platforms, as well as on rail cars and along the trackbed.  Some specific topics addressed were elevator pace panels, Braille signage, use of tactile strips and other emergency equipment, priority seating and electricity on ground rails to name a few.

This training is part of NFTA's standardized customer safety sessions which are provided throughout the year.
