Chris Cronin, First Manager of Fare Collection

Chris Cronin has been chosen as the first (ever) Manager of Fare Collection at NFTA Metro. Chris brings an impressive and broad background at Metro to his new position through his experience as a bus operator, in rail maintenance and many years of growth through the service planning department.

By utilizing his background and knowledge of our system and fare collection, Chris will represent the business center in the delivery of the project to ensure the needs of Metro are placed in effect and work with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a high level of system quality and service. Moving into this role is a natural fit for Chris based on his successful work history and organizational credibility.

Chris has completed undergraduate coursework in computer science at Clarkson University, Music Education and Performance studies at Crane School of Music, and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies from the State University at Buffalo. In his free time, Chris likes to downhill ski, ice skate, rollerblade, cook and bake. He remains very involved in the local music community and one of his most recent public musical performances was a Frank duet for piano and organ at a concert for the American Guild of Organists in Lewiston NY circa 2008. He is also a proud supporter of the Little Portion Friary on Main Street in Buffalo.

Please join in congratulating Chris on this worthy promotion and wish him well in leading Metro through this monumental fare system collection change.
