It gets wild at Cold Spring
Cold Spring Garage had an uninvited visitor last week. A deer wandered in. Bus Garage Superintendent John Dembik thought she might be responding to the 'Help Wanted' sign they put up out front. Here at the Transporter, we're pretty sure she stopped in to complain about service to Tift. Thanks go out to Perry Wittmer, the 2nd shift supervisor, and his team, for getting the deer out safely.

Clifford and her new (not big, red) dog
NFTA Transit Police Officer Christie Clifford and her new four legged partner. Harvey began certification training May 2, at the Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas.
At the end of the 10 week course Officer Clifford and Harvey will be TSA certified as an explosion detection team and become the eighth member of the NFTA’s K-9 Unit. Upon graduation, Christie will become the department’s first female K-9 handler. Harvey is owned by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and is trained to military standards.
Kudos to Christie and Harvey on their selection to become the newest members of this elite unit.
