The NFTA launched an amazing team this year, taking home several top honors in the American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb. The race, held March 12, runs from the lobby to the top floor of One Seneca Tower (the old HSBC building.) This was the event’s sixth year, and once again Metro was a major sponsor.

The highlights?

Jessica Dudziak, from the BNIA's ARFF, team, was the top female firefighter – for the second year in a row! That means 37 floors with 50 pounds of gear.

Michael Moore, from Budget, won gold for his age group.

Tim Sugrue, Service Planning, won bronze for his age group.

Patrick Concannon, husband of the BNIA’s Carolyn, also took home a bronze.

Rachel Maloney, Service Planning, is now on the ALA Wall of Stars for raising more than $1,200.

Fight for Air Climb makes a huge impact on those affected by lung disease. The funds raised go to research, education and patient programs to help limit the impact of asthma, COPD, lung cancer, air pollution and other lung diseases.

Congratulations to everyone who participated. It is a terrific event for a very worthwhile cause.
