Plan on saying hello to Robert Jones

Rob Jones is the new Manager of Service Planning for Metro. Rob is a native of Buffalo whom has been pursuing his doctoral degree in Transportation Planning and Policy in Maryland while working at the National Center for Smart Growth Research and Education. Rob earned his Bachelors of Arts and Masters of Urban Planning degrees from the University of Buffalo.

Rob is a certified planner whose previous experience includes working for LSC Transportation Consultants of Colorado Springs. As a consultant Rob has been strongly involved in service planning including Transit Development Plans, Title VI analysis and plan development, route structure analysis and design, fare policy development and various transit service analysis and plan implementation.

Rob indicated that outside of his professional life, he is a die-hard football fan and even played semi-pro football for the Lyndonville Tigers “a few years ago.” He is currently in the process of relocating to Buffalo in the Elmwood Village area with his cat, Lucille II.
