Customer Care Center - Now officially open

A new Metro Customer Information Center had its grand opening Thursday, April 2. Located on the concourse of the Metropolitan Transportation Center, it is staffed to provide a number of services for our passengers. The new information center will be staffed Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in order to assist the public with:

  • Rider information on trip planning, bus routes, schedules and Metro's fare policy
  • Take photos and print Photo ID cards for Reduced Fare and Paratransit passes
  • Accept payment for Reduced Fare Identification cards
  • Review and accept (not approve) applications for Paratransit and Reduced Fare cards
  • Assist customers with the functionality of the ticket vending machines
  • Assist customers with Metro related questions and distribute information related to new Metro products and services
Amy Scime is our resident associate - our first line of defense against Metro confusion and uncertainty. You can read all about Amy in the article below.

The opening ceremony culminated in a traditional ribbon cutting.  Seen here are Tom George, director of Surface Transportation; Associate Amy Scime; Executive Director Kim Minkel; Patricia B. Wiseman, superintendent of Special Services and Barbara Thomas, operations manager/Special Services.
