Black Achiever Gary Bennett

Congratulations to our 2014 Black Achieve Award recipient, Gary Tracy Bennett. Gary came to the NFTA in 2008 as a Service Planner Analyst, after receiving his Master of Urban Planning from the University at Buffalo. Gary’s undergraduate degree is from the State University at Fredonia, where he continues to teach in his spare time.

Not that Gary has a lot of spare time. One of the reasons he has been honored stems from his deep commitment to the community. Gary volunteers for The Ride for Roswell, The Ride for Missing and Exploited Children, UB’s Upward Bound Program, the Young Gentlemen’s Club, the United Way’s Leaders in Training Program and the Charter School for Applied Technology. He has even worked with Habitat for Humanity.

Gary’s combination of training and passion has made him great asset to the Authority and the to the whole region. Here’s to a well-deserved award.
