On Tuesday, September 16, the University of Buffalo held its sixth annual Sustainability Living Fair in the Student Union at North Campus. There were approximately 30 vendors on site to promote and discuss services that help improve the environmental impact within Western New York.

Staff from the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority participated in the fair and provided information on NFTA’s sustainability and “going green” efforts including the use of green shelters, eco-friendly Metro vehicles, and electric charging stations at both the Buffalo and Niagara Falls Airports. Materials were also available on Metro's Transit Options and Metro Perk programs.

There was an estimated attendance of 350 people at the event, and it was exciting to see many individuals specifically interested in alternative transportation methods to further help reduce our region's carbon footprint.
