Sue Fadel Gets a New Look

Sue Fadel, Superintendent of Service Planning and a 27-year veteran employee at NFTA, had over six inches of her hair cut off on (Good) Friday, April 18, to support Locks of Love. Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces made from donated ponytails to financially and health challenged children in the United States and Canada. These children are all under age 21 and are suffering from long-term medical hair loss due to a variety of causes.

This is Sue’s fourth year donating her hair, and to date she has estimated to have provided approximately 30 inches. Sue also inspired her daughter, Nikki (22), to donate 13 inches of her lovely tresses in December of last year. In support of this great cause Sue said, “Growing my hair is not difficult to do, and I feel fortunate that I am able to do something so simple that can help return a sense of identity or confidence to children suffering from hair loss.” Sue indicated she also receives a certificate of donation after each Locks of Love haircut.
