Pat Dalton Changes His Hat, Again
For the past 15 years, Pat has been responsible for conducting and supervising a comprehensive audit program at the NFTA and providing guidance to the authority’s Board of Commissioners and senior management on internal controls, procedural, operational, and financial issues. The Internal Audit Department is also charged with responsibility to implement many of the provisions of the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002, through the Model Governance Principles Mandated by the Governor of New York State.
Pat holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Pat is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York State, and is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Local Government Auditors. He is also Treasurer of the Association of Airport Internal Auditors.
In addition to his financial responsibilities at the NFTA, anyone who knows Pat will attest to his passion for hunting. Pat commented that in relation to his lack of game this year that he believes all of the deer were finally onto his avid hunting abilities because they were able to successfully elude his many attempts at obtaining a new “trophy” for his wall.
Pat and his wife MaryAnn reside in Hamburg and have two children. Their son Shawn, 23, recently graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at SUNY Fredonia, and his daughter, Shannon, 20, is currently attending Alfred University where she is enrolled in the Environmental Science and Equine Studies Program.
Congratulations Pat, we wish you the best in your new role!
