Metro Service Planning Manager James Morrell was recognized at this year’s ninth annual Black Tie for Black History gala this Friday, Feb. 28 at The Tralf Music Hall.
The event, which benefits the annual Juneteenth Festival held in Martin Luther King Park every summer, is also designed to “shine the light on people who are doing great things in the community,” according to Black Tie co-founder Marnetta Malcolm.
James has been with the Authority nearly a quarter-century, where he helps maximize service for the transit-riding public. This is a welcome chance to remind everyone how much he helps the community outside and apart from Metro. Congratulations, James.
