ARF’s new chief

Edward J. McDonald is our new Chief of the Buffalo Niagara International Airport’s Aircraft Rescue Firefighting unit. He comes to us with outstanding experience, having served as Chief of the Fire Emergency Services for the 914th Airlift Wing at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station. He’s worked in aircraft rescue and firefighting for 37 years.

In addition, he is board certified to respond as the Incident Commander to structural, aircraft, confined space, HazMat-IC, emergency medical services and Homeland Security responses.

Ed is member of the Niagara County Fire Chiefs Association, the Niagara County Legislative Board and the Niagara County Mutual Aid Committee. His humanitarian work has taken him on mission trips to Haiti, Alabama and locally to assist those in need during times of disaster. The new Chief resides in Ransomville.
