NFTA’s Family Night at the Ballpark

NFTA’s Family Night at the ballpark Thursday, July 18, had all the essential ingredients for a relaxing night of entertainment including a balmy 85 degree evening. The event was the perfect opportunity for authority employees and their families to come together while the Buffalo Bisons faced the Toledo Mud Hens at Coca-Cola Field.

The NFTA’s very own Vicky Brunette, Deputy General Counsel, and softball player extraordinaire, set the night’s tone with an impressive first pitch.

As the game progressed, the daughters of David State, General Counsel, sustained the joyful milieu with their participation in the on-field target toss promotion. David’s younger daughter Lily helped cheer on her older sister, Lauren, who successfully made the target more than a few times.

Toward the end of the game, Louis Manolis from the MTC and Mike Gray from Frontier Station competed in a round of baseball trivia. While the contest was competitively close, Louis prevailed and won a package of Costanzo’s rolls, which he received many requests to share at the office. The night concluded with a fitting and remarkable pyrotechnics display.

This was the first year for NFTA’s Family Night at the ballpark and a special shout out goes to the 86 individuals who supported the event as well as to Lisa Piecki for helping coordinate the event. Here’s to exceeding this turnout next year!
