Meet Mary

Mary Padasak, NFTA’s new Environmental Engineer, is an optimist both at home and at work.  After overcoming Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and obtaining remission as of December 2012, Mary displays an unforced, content disposition.  In her new role, her primary objective is to increase sustainability efforts and set a commendable example to other local organizations.

Mary’s position involves ensuring the authority maintains environmental compliance according to transit agency standards and addressing other important environmental obstacles that the NFTA faces.  Mary takes pride in coordinating multiple components within a project’s scope and seeing that project achieve results. After only a week of employment, she is already involved in a significant project surrounding the wetlands at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

Mary has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from Clarkson University.  With her combination of education, previous experience working at RJR Engineering as an Environmental Specialist, and “glass-half-full” personality, she is fully equipped to make a difference here at the Authority.
