2012 Dashboard Achievement Award

Great news from Metro! Another accomplishment has been bestowed upon the Babcock Station & Garage with its 2012 Dashboard Achievement Award for meeting or exceeding its goals in various categories such as on-time performance, safety and much more.

One of the highlights of this achievement is that the Babcock facility averaged over 9,300 miles between service interruptions during fiscal year ending March 31, 2012. As a matter of fact, Babcock hit the 18,000 mile mark in March of this year to lead the country in mileage between service interruptions.

Not only are these service numbers impressive for the current year, the Babcock Station and Garage has outpaced its competitor stations Frontier and Cold Spring in six of the last nine years, with this year’s honor being the fourth year in a row.

Steve Scime, Manager of Babcock Station and Rick Fiden, Babcock Supervisor, both commented on behalf of this team achievement, saying, “Babcock has proven to be successful Dashboard champions since 2009. This is a huge undertaking for everyone working at the facility and demonstrates what teamwork and collaboration can accomplish when everyone is on the same page.”

To celebrate this milestone, a luncheon was held at the garage earlier this month, where Surface Transportation Director, Tom George, presented the Dashboard Achievement Award to the proud Babcock team.

Kudos to all. Keep up the great work!
