Niagara Falls Family Wins Trip to Tampa

The Leo family of Niagara Falls, NY received an early Christmas present at the Niagara Falls International Airport Thursday evening, a free trip to Tampa, Fla. courtesy of Allegiant, the airport’s newest carrier.

To celebrate their inaugural flight from the NFIA, Allegiant offered four free roundtrip tickets, three-nights lodging and other goodies to one lucky person whose name was drawn just hours before the flight was scheduled to leave for sunny Tampa.

Jacquelin Leo came to the terminal around 5:15 p.m. to enter her family in the contest and then sat down to wait, and say a little prayer, until 5:45 p.m. when NFTA Chairman Henry M. Sloma stepped to the podium. He reached into the entry box and pulled her entry from approximately 65 others.

Jacquelin, along with husband Mark and children Christina and Mark Jr. departed the NFIA at 8:50 p.m. in route to Tampa’s warm and sandy beaches and a wonderful start to a Christmas they will not soon forget.
