Honor Flight

Another Honor Flight took off from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport Saturday, Oct. 22. This was the sixth flight out of Buffalo since the program began. Honor Flight takes veterans of World War II to Washington DC, to visit our national monuments dedicated to their honor. The program does not charge the veterans for any part of the trip.

Saturday's flight took 27 veterans, including a 92-year-old B-17 navigator, who flew 42 missions during the war. And never retired. He's still in the reserves.

Honor Flight Buffalo is a non-profit organization serving Western New York. Do date, they have provided trips for 132 national heroes from our region.
